About Me

—–This is a few years out of date, but I’ll get to updating it soon!——

Runners always want to know how other runners started out, right? Right.

Currently, I am training to run my first HALF MARATHON! Done!!!!!

I am 24, a lover of all things hockey/football (GO PENS/STEELERS!), addicted to WoW (with 3 lvl 85’s!) and happily engaged to my fiancee Brian, whom I have been dating for 5 years . We’ve set out wedding date for March of 2013.

I currently work a full-time desk job as a QA Analyst. After a year of sitting around, doing nothing with myself but going to work and playing video games, I decided to make a change in 2012.

So like everyone else I decided to join a gym. Which I did, but after two months I became bored of the elliptical and bikes. I was always afraid of the treadmill.

Then I found the ever-popular “Couch to 5K” program. I decided this can’t be that bad. I’m not overweight, but I’m just not in shape. I began that plan in Mid-March and signed up for my first 5K.

I really began enjoying running. My legs would itch for a run on off days. And finally, on May 5th, 2012, I completed my first 5K!

Running is my stress reliever and my escape. I enjoy running with music, and hope to share my “different” tastes on this blog.

I marched in two competitive Drum and Bugle corps in 2005 and 2006 (Capital Regiment and Carolina Crown) . This is where I think my true masochist flourished, and why to this day I can’t imagine not running.

In addition to drum and bugle corps, I participated in my college’s marching band for three years, from 2007-2009; finishing my senior year as tuba section leader.
