Miles this week; 3.03

Tune of the Day: Gotye – Somebody that I used to know (Again, I know. I even caught myself singing this at my desk. Hopefully my co-workers just ignored this)

Because I A) Forgot my gym clothes at home and B) Was too lazy to go home on my lunch to get them, I decided to opt for a workout DVD for my toning/cross training. Time for me to hit up an old, old friend.

Good God I forgot how much this hurt. I think I had done this tape maybe once or twice? I know I have never been able to get through every move before, but today I did. It HURT. I still hate circuit three ….but my legs will appreciate the love, I’m hoping. I was able to get through the whole tape this go around, albeit I didn’t give it my 100%. My mind was on other things, like …how I want to go outside and run but it’s dreary and slippery, not to mention muggy as all get out.

Speaking of running, I hauled up a few goodies for that on my lunch hour at Dick’s….

New tempos! (Baby blue) It was my gift to myself for finishing the 5K (although, my Coach purse was technically a ‘gift to myself for the 5K/finally making enough money to move out/birthday gift’ but who’s counting). I also got the SPIRunning belt. In polkadot …ugh. Not my ideal pattern, but I figure I won’t even be looking at the damn thing, I don’t care if it looks like a clown. It was like searching for the holy grail for this thing in Dick’s though (word of thought, it’s by the shoe area/shoe insoles). I talked to three associates who had no clue what I was talking about ….*sigh*. Anyways, I’ll report back on how much I like it once I get a chance to use it.

Which might be tomorrow morning …if I can muster the energy to get out of bed by 5AM. I figure I need to wash my hair tomorrow, so what’s a little sweat gonna do about it. (Side note, does anyone else space out their workouts by when they need to wash their hair? I CAN’T be the only one). I’ll also let you know how that goes….if it happens.

The plan is a 2 mile run in the morning and try to make a 2 mile run at the gym. I need to head to target after work for some sports bras, so why not try?

And that’s all from me. Time for me to hit up the shower and the fridge.
